This ex-designer trim is a horsehair braid, or crinoline. It's commonly used on hems and cuffs, or wherever you want a fabric to stand out or create more volume. They are easily sewn with a machine or by hand. This braid is polyester and while it can give a stiff finish, it's flexible to use. Great for evening wear and special projects!
